Clinical Observation on the effect of Tropisetron Combined with Dexamethe Administered in Various Time on Prevention from Postoperative Nausea and Vomiting

Abstract

Objective:To observe the efficacy of tropisetron combined with dexamethe administered in various time on prevention from nausea and vomiting.Methods:120 cases of tumors undergoing general anesthesia were randomly divided into four groups:group A with 5 mg of intraveous tropisetron combined with 10 mg of dexamethe before anesthesia,group B with 5 mg of intraveous tropisetron combined with 10 mg of dexamethe after surgery,group C with 5 mg of intraveous tropisetron after surgery,and group D without any medication of amemetic.The condition of nausea and vomiting during 48 hours after surgery was recorded.Results:The occurrence of nausea and vomiting in Group A,B and C was less than that in group D(P0.05),it was least in group A(P0.05).There was no significant difference between in group B and group C.Conclusion:Tropisetron combined with dexamethe could reduce the occurance of postoperative nausea and vomiting,specially administered before operation.
