Therapeutic effect of ademetionine in patients with cholestatic hepatitis induced by drugs

Objective:To investigate the therapeutic effect of ademetionine in patients with cholestatic hepatitis induced by drugs.Methods:46 patients with cholestatic hepatitis induced by drugs were randomly divided into tow groups: the control group(23 patients) received combined therapy(without any anti-choloplania drugs) for 4 weeks,and the therapy group(23 patients) received combined thera-py plus ademetionine 1000 mg in 5% glucose solution 20 ml vein bolus qd for 4 weeks.Results:The recovery of symptoms and signs was not significantly different in the two groups(P0.05).The effective rates of itch of skin and white-stool were 82.6%(19/23) and 100%(23/ 23) respectively in the therapy group,while 39.1%(9/23) and 52.2%(12/23) respectively in the control group.The recovery of liver function in the therapy group was superior to that in the control group(P0.05).There were significantly differences between the two groups(P0.01).Conclusion:Ademetionine can promote liver metabolism,repair the injury of hepatic cell,relieve itch of skin and improve liver function obviously.It is the effective and safe drug in the treatment of patients with cholestatic hepatitis induced by drugs.
