Study on Effect of Amiodarone Combined with Metoprolol Tartrate in Treating Chronic Congestive Heart Failure with Ventricular Arrhythmia

Objective To investigate the effect of amiodarone combined with metoprolol tartrate in treating chronic congestive heart failure with ventricular arrhythmia.Methods 104 cases with chronic congestive heart failure and ventricular arrhythmia in our hospital from January 2007 to January 2009 were divided into the treatment group and the control group respectively.The two groups received the anti-congestive heart failure drug,and the treatment group also received the amiodarone combined with metoprolol tartrate.Results The heart rate,ejection fraction and straggling of QT after treatment were superior to those before treatment,and there was significant difference(P 0.05).The heart rate,ejection fraction and straggling of QT after treatment in the treatment group were superior to those in control group,and there was significant difference in them(P 0.05).The total effective rate was 96.15% in the treatment group and 76.92% in the control group and there was significant difference in them(P 0.05).There was no severe sinus bradycardia,heart function deterioration,ventricular arrhythmias aggravation and sudden death cases.Conclusion The effect of amiodarone combined with metoprolol tartrate in treating chronic congestive heart failure with ventricular arrhythmia is obvious and there is no side effect,which deserves clinical application.
