Abstract

Objective: To explore the expression levels of Survivin and Cox-2 protein in cervical squamous cell carcinoma and normal cervical tissue. Methods:The expression levels of Survivin and Cox-2 proteins in 40 cervical squamous cell carcinomas and 10 normal cervical were detected by immunohistochemical technique.Results:①The expression levels of Survivin and Cox-2 proteins in cervical squamous cell carcinoma tissues were higher than those in normal cervical tissues(P0.05),the expression Cox-2 and Survivn were positively related in cervical carcinoma.②The positive expression of Cox2 and Survivin were associated with histologic grade and lymphnode metastasis(P0.05).Conclusion:The abnormal expression levels of Survinvn and Cox-2 proteins may be related with the pathogenesis of cervical squamous cell carcinoma.Cervical squamous cell carcinoma may result from abnormal proliferation and unbalanced apoptosis caused by Survivin and Cox-2 proteins.
