Clinical study on treatment of essential hypertension by Irastan and Hydrochlorothiazide

Abstract

Objective To investigate the effects of treatment of hypertension with Irbesartan and Hydrochlorothiazide.Methods 120 patients were randomly divided into treatment group treated by Irastan and Hydrochlorothiazide and control group treated by Irastan.Results The effective rates in treatment group was 91.7% and the other was 76.7%. The difference between these two groups was statistically significant (P0.05).Conclusion The clinical efficacy of Irbesartan and Hydrochlorothiazide is better than that of Irbesartan.
