Abstract
Objective To investigate the clinical and coronary angiographic features in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus(CD) combined with coronary heart disease. Methods A total of 143 patients confirmed by coronary angiography were divided into two groups according to they were combined with type 2 DM or not.Of them 75 were type 2 DM without coronary heart disease and 68 only with coronary heart disease. The clinical features including height, weight,BMI,blood pressure, plasma lipids were investigated, and the coronary features were obtained by coronary angiography. Results Higher triglyceride and lower high-density lipoprotein cholesterol and abnormal blood pressure were found in the group of type 2 DM plus coronary heart disease compared with control group, and showed significant difference between both groups (P0.05).The result of coronary angiography showed that patients with type 2 DM combined with coronary heart disease suffered from severe coronary lesions and severe stenosis of coronary artery. Conclusion Blood lipid disorder is mainly found in patients with type 2 DM combined with coronary heart disease and plays an important role in the severity of coronary artery lesions.Severe coronary lesions are found in type 2 diabetes mellitus combined with coronary heart disease.
