The Epistemological Evolution and Transformation of Paradigms in Translation Studies

This paper has discussed the relation between the development of epistemic concepts and the changes of the paradigms in translation studies.It points out that the changes of paradigms in translation studies from structural linguistic paradigm to deconstructive paradigm and the to constructivist one are closely related with the development of epistemic concepts,which develops from fundamental theory of knowledge to holistic theory and now to relativism.This relation shows us that the study of epistemic theory is of great importance for the fields of humanities and social sciences including translation studies.
