A Study of the Influence of Action Theory on Contemporary Translation Studies

Contemporary translation theories draw increasingly upon action theory since the late seventies of the last century.This paper analyzes several different concepts of action,and studies the relationship between these concepts and contemporary translation studies,arguing that the Functionalist Approaches,DTS,Performative Linguistics and the Constructivist Translatology are all derived from action theory.
