Abstract

Objective:To investigate the expression and clinical significance of ER 、PR and C-erbB-2 in breast cancer.Methods:158 cases with primary breast cancer were examined for ER、PR and C-erbB-2 by immunohistochemical S-P methods. Results:The expressions of ER、PR and C-erbB-2 were 68.4%、62.0%、54.4% respectively.ER expression was significantly correlated with PR expression(P0.01).C-erbB-2 expression was in correlation with axillary lymph node metastasis(P0.05).There was a negative correlation between C-erbB-2 and ER、PR(P0.01).Patients with ER positive and PR positive or C-erbB-2 negative had higher 4-year DFS and 4-year OS than those with ER negative and PR negative or C-erbB-2 positive. Conclusion:The detection of ER and PR may be useful for guiding clinical treatment. The expression of C-erbB-2 is a useful mark for predicting the prognosis of patients with breast cancer.
