Analysis of the Results of Patch Test in 178 Patients with Chronic Eczema and Dermatitis

Objective: To explore the characteristics of contact allergens in chronic eczema and dermatitis.Methods: 178 cases of chronic eczema and dermatitis were tested with a standardized palchtesting technique against contact allergens.Results: Data from these patients showed that the top were as follow:nickel sulfate,formaldehyde、perfume mix、toluenediamin potassium dichromate、resin、rubber、mercury、ethylenediamin;The allergens causing eczema and dermatitis of hands were perfume mix and potassium dichromate,those for trunk and limbs were:nickel sulfute and resin,those for the head and face were:formaldehyde and perfume mix,that for navel eczema and systemic contact dermatitis were:nickel sulfate.Conclusion: Patchtesting is helptul in identifying the property of contact allergens in chronic eczema and dermatitis.
