Analysis of the Results of Patch Test in 178 Patients with Chronic Eczema and Dermatitis

Objective:To explore the characteristics of contact allergens in chronic eczema and dermatitis.Methods:178 cases of chronic eczema and dermatitis were tested with a standardized patch-testing technique against contacting allergens.Results:Data from these patients show that the top causes are:nickel sulfate.The following are formaldehyde,mixed spices,toluenediamin potassium dichromate,resin,rubber,mercury,ethylenediamin.And different allergens reaction in different parts of the body,such as the allergens causing eczema and dermatitis of 1.Hands are mixed spices and potassium dichromate;2.Trunk and limbs are mainly nickel sulfute and resin;3.The head and face are formaldehyde and mixed spices,4.Navel are nickel sulfate.Conclusion:Patch test assists in identifying the properties of contact allergens causing chronic eczema and dermatitis.
