Abstract

The total flavonoids were separated and extracted from Abelmoschusmanihot by Soxhlet extraction. The influences of ethanol concentration,material-liquid ratio,extraction time,and extraction temperature had been investigated. Based on the signal facts experiment,the orthogonal design was applied to optimize the extraction process. The results showed the effective way to control the extraction was ethanol concentration,material-liquid ratio,extraction temperature and extraction time. The optimum technological conditions were as following. The ethanol concentration was 60%,material-liquid ratio was 1 ∶ 35,extraction time was 3. 0 h and extraction temperature was 80 ℃. Under this condition,the extraction rate of the total flavonoids was 4. 55%. Eventually,the content of total flavonoids was 2. 72% according to the rutin standard curve.
