Abstract

The propagation of light in onedimensional photonic crystal was studied by characteristic matrix method of optical conductance.The character of photonic forbidden bands and the relation of character with the structure of onedimensional photonic crystal have been analyzed.The feasible ways of widening the width of photonic forbidden band were pointed out.
