A NEW SPECIES OF THE GENUS GASTROTHYLAX FROM GUIZHOU PROVINCE, CHINA (TREMATODA: PARAMPHISTOMATIDAE)

Oesophagus curved 0. 48mm-0. 75mm. Caeca Long,wavy,ending a little beyond the testes. Testes elliptical, deep-lobed, preacetabular, intercaecal, left testis 0.56mm-0. 63mm × 0. 41mm-0. 51mm and right testis 0. 55mm-0. 66mm × 0.37mm-0. 45mm. Uterus crossing to other side, near equator of the body. Genital pore prebifurcal, near the base of oesophagus. Vitellaria follicular,confined to lateral sides of the body. Laurer's canal not crossing excretory vesicle.The new species differs from all known species of this genus in shape,size of acetabulum and the position of testes.Host Bubalus bubalus.Habitat Rumen.Locality Danzhai County (26°19′ N, 107°78′ E), Guizhou Province.The type specimens are deposited in the Microbiogical Institute, Jiangxi Academy of Sciences and Veterinary Anti-Epidemic Station of Guizhou Province.
