Influence of Caregiver Nursing Skills on Rehabilitation Effect of Patients with Alzheimer's Disease

Objective To explore the relationship of the nursing skills of caregivers of Alzheimer's disease(AD) patients and rehabilitation effect of the patients,and to provide theoretical guidance for the implementation of high-quality home care.Methods 120 cases of AD patients and their caregivers were randomly divided into observation groups and control group.The caregivers of observation groups were taught of AD disease nowledge,daily care,safe care knowledge,training and rehabilitation training guidance to improve their nursing skills.Before and after intervention using simple mental state examination(MMSE),activities of daily living scale(ADL) and health status questionnaire(SF-36) to assessed the patients of two groups.Results After the intervention in observation group,the ADL score(15.86±3.81);SF-36 composite score score(578.3±142.4) were both higher than that of the control group,the difference was statistically significant(P0.05).MMSE score(16.12±2.84),compared with the control group was significantly difference(P0.01).Conclusions Improving the caregivers' nursing skills for AD patients can delay the progression of AD patients,and improve the patients quality of life.
