Clinical observation of recuperative effect of balancing acupuncture in treating high muscular tension of up limb in apoplectic hemiplegia

Object:To observe the effect of balancing acupuncture on highspasticity of up-limb poststroke and the motor function to have the right assessment of recuperative effect.Methods:60 patients with high spasticity of up limbs poststroke were randomly divided into 2 groups.Treatment group:treated with balancing acupuncture.Comparement group:accupoints selected from anti-spasm musle.The therapeutic effect of the two methods were evaluated on proving spasm degree and motor function.Results:Both of the balancing acupuncture and traditional acupuncture had effect on proving high muscle tention of up limb in patients poststroke.The ashworth marks between the two groups had remarkable difference(P0.01).Both of the two methods welly proved the motor function of the affected limbs(treatment group:p0.001,comparement group:p0.01).There was significant difference in FMA marks between the two groups.Conclusion:Balancing acupuncture has inhibition on high spasticity of up limb in apoplectic hemiplegia.The recuperative effect of balancing acupuncture are superior to routine oneside acupuncture treatment in proving high muscle tention of up limb.
