Abstract

Objective: To explore the relation between levels of serum sE-selectin and acute coronary syndrome(ACS).Methods: The serum concentrations of soluble E-selectin were measured in 12 patients with acute myocardial infarction(AMI group),19 patients with unstableangina pectoris(UAP group),15 patients with stable angina pectoris(SAP group) and 16 with controls(control group) by enzyme-linked immunobsorbent assay(ELISA).The levels of soluble E-selectin of different group were analyzed. Results: Serum soluble E-selectin levels were significantly higher in patients with AMI and UAP than those in SAP and control group(P0.01),compared AMI group with UAP group, there was no significant difference in the levels of serum soluble E-selectin(P0.05),serum soluble E-selectin levels were significantly higher in patients with SAP than those in control group(P0.05).Conclusion: Levels of serum soluble E-selectin can reflect the stable status of coronary atherosclerosis plaque.soluble E-selectin can be involved in the pathogenesis of ACS.
