Abstract

Aim: To study the correlations between the serum soluble P-selectin (sP-selectin), high sensitive C-reactive protein (hs-CRP) and lipids in patients with coronary heart diseases (CHD).Methods:The levels of sP-selectin, hs-CRP, TC, TG, HDL-C and LDL-C were measured in 25 patients with acute myocardial infarction (group AMI), 31 patients with unstable angina pectoris (group UAP), 22 patients with stable angina pectoris (group SAP), and 20 controls. Results: sP-selectin and hs-CRP in group AMI and group UAP were significantly higher than those in group SAP and the controls, however, sP-selectin and hs-CRP were similar in group SAP and the controls. There were obvious positive correlations between TC, LDL-C and sP-selectin and hs-CRP levels in patients with CHD.Conclusion: P-selectin and hs-CRP are useful markers in the diagnosis and classification of CHD. TC and LDL-C may aggravate the systemic inflammation and activate platelet in patients with CHD.
