Abstract

The role of universities to play in revitalization of the old industrial base in Northeast China is discussed, with the intention of providing a theoretical foundation for strategical planning to which how to provide competent professionals in urgent need to support the restructuring task is of significance. Based on an analysis made to finding out the existing problems and features of the universities in Northeast China, some measures are suggested to be taken to meet the educational requirements of sci-tech talents so as to support effectively the revitalization of the old industrial base.
