Abstract
Objective: To explore the clinical effect of the combination of baiaspirin and atorvastatin on prevention of the recurrence of cerebral infarction. Methods: 168 patients with first brain infarction were randomly divided into two groups. The treatment group (n=86) received the combined treatment of bayaspirin and atorvastatin, 82 cases of the control group were given baiaspirin and other non-statin cholesterol-lowering drugs. The basic treatments of two groups were same. The changes of hemorheology values, the contents of blood lipid and the scores of carotid artery plaque were monitored dynamically at the end of 3rd, 6th, 12th months after treatment. And the recurrence rate of cerebral infarction within one year was calculated. Results: The recurrence rate of the cerebral infarction in treatment group(4.6 %) was significantly lower than the control group (11 %) (P 0.01). In two groups, there were significant difference between pre and post treatment in the changes of hemorheology values, the contents of blood lipid and the scores of carotid artery plaque (P 0.05), but there were no significant difference between two groups (P 0.05). In the treatment group, there was significant differences between pre and post treatment in the change of the score of carotid artery plaque (P 0.05), but there was no difference in the control groups (P 0.05), there was significant difference between two groups (P 0.05).Conclusion: The curative effect of Bayaspirin combined with atorvastatin is superior to aspirin alone on prevention of recurrence of cerebral infarction.
