Abstract
Objective To investigate the comparability of the results of glycosylated hemoglobin(HbA1c) detection by venous blood and peripheral blood.Methods 313 subjects were simultaneously taken peripheral blood and venous whole blood for detecting HbA1c using the Primus PDQ PLUS HbA1c analyzer.The results were performed the correlativity analysis and paired t test.Results The result data of HbA1c in peripheral blood and venous blood showed significant correlativity by statistical analysis(healthy group,diabetic group and whole subjects,r=0.97,0.98,0.99,all P0.01).There was no significant difference in the detection results(healthy group,diabetic group and whole subjects,P=0.77,P=0.72,P=0.75).Conclusion HbA1c can be detected by peripheral blood and the result of HbA1c shows no significant difference with that by venous blood,which can be the detection index of blood glucose in diabetic patients.
