Abstract

Objective To investigate the relationship of heart function to brain natriuretic peptide( BNP)and high sensitive C-reactive protein( hs-CRP) in patients with chronic pulmonary heart failure. Methods 200 patients with chronic pulmonary heart failure were selected as the disease group and their cardiac function was classified. At the same time,200 healthy people were selected as the control group. Their serum Hs-CRP and BNP were measured. Results The value of BNP and hs-CRP was 415. 28 ± 96. 73 fg / ml and 86. 83 ± 17. 50 ng / ml respectively in the disease group, which were obviously higher than those in the control group( P 0. 05). With the increase of heart function grading, the levels of BNP and hs-CRP gradually increased( P 0. 05). Conclusion The high levels of hs-CRP and BNP can be used as a clinical evaluation index in patients with chronic pulmonary heart failure.
