Abstract

Objective To value the clinical therapeutic effect with chlorpromazine and clozapine for the treatment of schizophrenia. Methods 115 subjects were divided into three groups, chlorpromazine group: chlorpromazine 400mg·d -1 ; clozapine group: clozapine 300 mg·d -1 ; chlorpromazine-clozopine group: chlorpromazine 100mg·d -1 , clozapine 300mg·d -1 .Therapeutic effect was measured by BPRS and the adverse reaction was rated by TESS at pretherapy, at 1st, 2nd, 4th and 6th week respectively. Results The score of BPRS in all groups decreased significantly after treatment(P0.01).The score of factor III、IV、V in chlorpromazine group and clozapine group were lower than that of pretherapy at 1wk(P0.01), and the score of factor I,II decreased significantly at 2wk(P0.01). The score of all factors in chlorpromazine-clozapine group decreased significantly at 1wk(P0.01). The adverse reaction in chlorpromazine group was the disorder of system of autonomic nerve and extropyramid,in clozapine and chlorpromazine-clozapine group was system of autonomic nerve. The autonomic nerve score of TESS in chlorpromazine-clozapine group increased significantly, compared with the other groups(P0.05). No difference was found in the decreased score of BPRS between chlorpromazine group and clozapine group, however, the increased score of TESS decreased significantly(P0.01). The decreased score of BPRS in chlorpromazine-clozapine group was higher than chlorpromazine group and clozapine group significantly(P0.01). Conclusions For treatment of schizophrenia using clozapine and chlorpromazine at the same time can get better therapeutic effect than using them alone, however, the adverse reactions could increase.
