Abstract
Objective: To evaluate the clinical efficacy of esomeprazole combined with endoscopic hemostasis in patients with peptic ulcer bleeding. Methods: During the period of July 2010 to July 2014, 126 patients with peptic ulcer bleeding in our hospital were randomized into combination group(n=62) and control group(n=64). The combination group was treated by esomeprazole combined with endoscopic hemostasis; and the control group was given esomeprazole alone. Prognosis, hemostatic effect and other indexes were compared in two groups. Results: In combination group, the hemostasis time was(1.6±0.8)d, and in control group, hemostatic time was(3.6±1.2)d(P0.05); In combination group, blood transfusion volume after treatment was(439.7±105.2)m L, and in the control group, blood transfusion volume after treatment was(921.2±229.5)m L(P0.05). In combination group, hospital stay time was(7.3±1.1)d,hospital stays time in control group was(12.6 ± 1.6) d(P0.05). There were 2 patients rebleeding after hemostasis in combination group, while in control group 10 cases(P0.05). Conclusion: The clinical efficacy of combination group was better than that of the control group.
