Abstract
The examination of students' cognitive styles through a cognitive style figure test and a questionnaire shows that field-dependent style is more favorable for listening achievements,while field-independent style is more favorable for reading,vocabulary and cloze achievements.Students should choose proper cognitive style to adapt themselves to different learning tasks.
