Abstract
[Objective]To study the expression of CD 44v6 and prolliferating cell nuclear antigen (PCNA) in non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) and their value of predicting on the survival rate. The expression of CD44v6 and PCNA were detected in 52 cases of non-small cell lung carcinoma tissues by flow cytometry and immunohistochemistry (SP method). The expression levels of CD44v6 in lung cancer (22.72±15.16)were obviously higher than that in non-carcinoma lung tissue(5.56±2.71) (P 0.05). CD44v6 and PCNA expression were significantly increased with the decrease of differential degree of tumor cells(46.7%,60.0% and 94.1% for CD44v6, 40.0%, 60.0% and 82.4% for PCNA) (P 0.05). The expression of CD44v6 was much higher in patients with lymph node metastasis (31.30±14.74) than those without lymph node metastasis (11.99±6.58) (P 0.05). The positve expression rate of PCNA and CD44v6 affected on the survival rate significantly after operation in the non small cell cancer with multivariate regression analysis (P 0.01). [Conclusions] Detecting CD44v6 may be a co-maker for predicting the potentiality of lymph node metastasis in lung cancer. CD44v6 and PCNA are significantly factors in predicting on the survival rate of NSCLC after operation.
