Abstract
Objective The clinical effect comparison of posterior dentine defect restoration with glassfiber strengthered composite resin post and metal post. Methods 60 seriously destroyed first molar of 30 cases were selected and treated with glrssfiber strengthered composite resin post and metal post, then porcelain-fused-metal crown(PFM) was applied to restore dentine defect. The patients were called back for a visit after 3.6 and 12 months. Results 2 molars of two cases lost visits. The other 58 molars have only two fails of metal post restoration cases, while all prosthesis of glassfiben strengthened composite resin post required satisfactory effect without failure. Conclusions Glassfiber strengthened composite resin post is a better choice than metal post in posterior dentine defect restoration with benefits such As perfect color, easy operation and satisfactiory clinical effect.
