Abstract
Heat treatment process for centrifugal composite cast high chromium cast iron roll and the effects of heat treatment on the hardness and impact toughness were studied by factual data and thermal expansion experiment. And the microstructure was investigated by SEM and optical microscope. The results show that quenched by air at 950 ℃ for one hour and 450 ℃ for 10 hours and then tempered at 525 ℃ for six hours, the hardness of the high chromium cast iron roll is upward of 55.6 HRC,the impact toughness is up to 5.66 J/cm2.The microstructure were martensite, aged primary carbides, aged eutectoid carbides and aged third-step carbides and the remaining austenite.
