Abstract
The main bridge of Maocaojie Bridge, having a main span 368 m and very small width/span ratio 1/18.5, is a 3-span self-anchored continuous half-through bowstring arch bridge of concrete-filled steel tubes. The type of the Bridge is novel and is technically complicated. Lots of innovations have been made on the Bridge in aspect of the bridge structure type, theoretic analysis, experimental study and construction technology. In this paper, the overall design, experimental study and construction technology of the main bridge are mainly elaborated.
