Abstract

Objective:to discuss the application of serum cystatin-C in the early diagnosis of diabetic nephropathy.Method:40 patients confirmed with diabetes B were divided into two groups according to 24H UAER.UAER30mg/24hours were diabetes,UAER 30-300mg/24hours were diabetic nephropathy.20 cases undertaking regular medical check-up were chosen as the control group.Cystatin-C,serum creatinine and urea nitrogen were detected and coorelative analysis was made.Result:Cystatin-C levels show significant difference among T2DM diabetes group, diabetic nephropathy group and control group(P0.05),cystatin-C level of early diabetic nephropathy group is significantly higher than that of diabetes group(P0.05),and shows positive correlative property with UAER.No statistical differences were found in BUN and CREA between diabetes group and early diabetic nephropathy group(P0.05).Conclusion:Serum cystatin-C goes up with the deterioation of renal function, and its sensitivity is higher than CREA and BUN,which can serve as diagnostic index for early diabetic nephropathy and is worthy of clinical popularization.
