Abstract

Objective: To explore the relationship between serum Cystatin C level and microalbuminuria(mAlb) in early diabetic nephropathy. Methods:A total of 128 cases with diabetes were selected, including 42 patients of simple diabetes,46 cases of early diabetic nephropathy and 40 subjects of clinical diabetic nephropathy. The level of serum Cys C,creatinine(SCr) and mAlb were measured in 128 patients and correlation analysis was performed in Cys C,Scr and mAlb.Results: Serum Cys C level were significantly higher in clinical diabetic nephropathy group, followed by early diabetic nephropathy group and simple diabetes group(P0.01);SCr was higher in clinical diabetic nephropathy group than that of early diabetic nephropathy group and simple diabetes group, but there was no significant different between early diabetic nephropathy group and simple diabetes(P0.05).Cys C and Scr had a significantly positive correlation with mAlb(P0.01).Conclusions: In comparison with Scr,Cys C is more sensitive. And it is an ideal detection index for early diagnosis of diabetic nephropathy.
