Abstract

Objective:To explore the effect and adverse reactions of nateglinide in treating type 2 diabetes and its effect on insulin secretion.Methods:67 patients with type 2 diabetes were divided into two groups, the nateglinide groups(n=30) and the glipizide groups(n=32).The age and sex of two groups is match, for 12 weeks. The observation of two groups was made on the changes and adverse reactions of fasting blood glucose(FBG),postprandial blood glucose(PBG),blood lipid, insulin,HbAIc and others. Results:After the treatment of two groups, the levels of FBG,PBG and HbAlc lowered significantly(P0.01);the reduced FBG rate of both drugs was not statistically significant(P0.05),but nateglinide than glipizide(P0.01) in 2h after PBG;the effect reducing HbAIc of nateglinide than that of glipizide(P0.05);nateglinide could stimulate insulin secretion, the plasma insulin concentrations after two hours of oral was higher than glipizide. Conclusion:Domestic repaglinide is an effective and less adverse reactions and safe drug in treating type 2 diabetes.
