Abstract
Objective To evaluate efficacy and safety of nateglinide in type 2 diabetes patients. Methods After a four-week washout period, 58 recruited patients with type 2 diabetes were randomly assigned to nateglinide (28 cases) and repaglinide (30 cases) treatment group. Results The fasting and 2 hours postprandial blood glucose and HbA 1c levels decreased significantly after 12 weeks treatment with nateglinide (P0.01).There was no significant differences between the groups. Conclusion Nateglinide has the effect of improving glucose metabolism. It is an efficacy and safety drug in the treatment of diabetes.
