Based on the development process of localization of sociology from being regional to international, and the course of localization in different countries of the world, the Theory on Localization of Sociology is an in-depth research from a new perspective into the Chinesization of sociology. This theory has made careful deliberations on the contents and purposes, categories and characteristics of localization of sociology and the relationship between localization and westernization, internationalization, globalization of sociology, and shaped the prospect of China's sociology, i.e. the road to “building local characteristics” and “transcending local characteristics”.
