The Development of Chinese Sociology since Its Reconstruction

Abstract

Based on document analysis this paper examines the developments of Chinese sociology reconstructed in 1980 which is divided into the following fields: researches on social development, social structure, social problem, social policy, social work, social idea and social mind, basic theory of sociology, sociological methodology, foreign sociology. Aiming at the problems among sociological professionals the author suggests that some measures must be taken to promote the sound development of Chinese sociology in the coming years.
