Abstract

Objective:To investigate the impact of lipid-lowering drug simvastatin and antihypertensive drug nifedipine on ambulatory blood pressure and blood pressure variability in patients with hypertension. Methods:A total of 226patients diagnosed as hypertension were enrolled and randomly divided into two groups.113cases in the control group were treated with nifedipine antihypertensive therapy;treatment group were given nifedipine antihypertensive therapy and simvastatin.Lipids and ambulatory blood pressure were checked in all patients,24haverage systolic blood pressure and mean diastolic blood pressure changes were recorded, and mean standard deviation and 24hdynamic pulse pressure were calculated.Ambulatory blood pressure values and their stability were compared before and after treatment. Results:After treatment, the lipid levels of the observation group were significantly lower than the control group(P0.01);24hPP and SBPV of the observation group decreased significantly compared with the control group(P0.05).After the treatment, the 24hSD,dSSD,dDSD,nSSD of the observation group significantly decreased(P 0 01).Conclusion:Lipid-lowering drug combination with antihypertensive drugs can keep stable blood pressure for hypertension patients, and it's worthy of application in large scale.
