The impact analysis of simvastatin combined with amlodipine on blood pressure variability

Objective:To observe the effect of simvastatin combined with amlodipine on hypertension patients′ blood pressure variability.Methods:One hundred cases with primary hypertension were randomly divided into treatment group and control group,all 50 cases,two group were treated by 2.5 mg/d amlodipine antihypertensive treatment,the treatment group was based on combined with simvastatin 20 mg/d.After 12 weeks of treatment,were compared between the 2 groups before and after treatment the changes of blood lipids,and using 24 h ambulatory blood pressure monitoring,were compared between the 2 groups before and after treatment,blood pressure mean values of blood pressure variability.Results:The treatment group after 12 weeks more than before,serum total cholesterol,triglyceride,low density lipoprotein was significantly reduced,high density lipoprotein elevation;the treatment group after 12 weeks compared to ambulatory blood pressure mean values,blood pressure variability were significantly decreased,24 h average systolic blood pressure,the mean systolic,mean systolic blood pressure,night 24 h systolic blood pressure variability,daytime blood pressure variability,daytime diastolic blood pressure variability,nocturnal systolic blood pressure variability was lower than control group.Conclusion:Simvastatin combined with amlodipine can effectively decrease blood pressure,adjusting blood lipid,and significantly improved in patients with essential hypertension blood pressure variability.
