Abstract

Objective:To study the effect and mechanism of concentrated Yigan decoction (CYD), radix salviae miltiorrhizae (RSM) and radix astragali (RA) in the treatment of liver fibrosis. Methods:The SD rat model of liver fibrosis was induced by subcutaneous injection of 40 % CCl4. After the treatment, the collagen in liver tissue was investigated with Masson staining. Results:The degree of liver fibrosis was obviously alleviated in the CYD group as compared with that in RSM group and RA group. Herb with the function of reinforcing the circulation of blood and removing stasis can obviously decrease the degree of liver fibrosis. Herb with the function of tonifying qi and spleen can decrease the degree of liver fibrosis. The effect of the former is better than that of the latter. The effect of CYD was better than that of RSM and RA. Conclusion:CYD had an affirmative effect in treating liver fibrosis and could obviously decrease the degree of liver fibrosis and improve the pathological change of liver fibrosis in rats.
