Abstract
The half and quarter blood crossbreds of wild yaks and domestic yaks were used in a 120 days fattening trial under the same grazing regimen in the summer. The results showed that the average daily gains of half and quarter blood crossbreds of wild yaks were increased by 42.08%(P0.01)and 26.49%(P0.01)compared with that of control group of domestic yaks,in comparison with domestic yaks, the dressing percentage and meat percentage of half blood crossbreds increased by 8.33%(P0.05)and 13.16%(P0.05),while quarter blood crossbreds by 5.02%(P0.05)and 7.53%(P0.05);which demonstrated the better fattening and meat performance of crossbreds of wild yaks over do- mestic yaks.
