The analysis on articles and authors of local university journal(natural science edition)of Guangdong province

It investigates and analyzes the papers of 2000,2003,2006 of 3 university journals(random drawing, natural science edition)of Guangdong province.It shows that the journal of local universities develops fast these years.The average total articles rises from 50.7 in 2000 to 107.0 in 2006.The papers which are supported by foundation increase to 24.3% from 7.8%.The average publication lag is 231 d and the average information den- sity is 4.1 piece/printed sheet.Most authors are young and middle-aged and it counts for 46.5%.10.2% authors are more than 50 years old.The authors who hold senior professional tides count for 33.3%.38.6% authors have master or doctor degree.
