Quantitative Analysis on the Articles in Journal of East China Institute of Technology(Natural Science Edition) during 2004 to 2008

Abstract

The papers published in Journal of East China Institute of Technology(Natural Science Edition) during 2004 to 2008 are analyzed by using bibliometric method.The result shows that there are totally 410 articles in the 20 issues during 5 years;the average issue article is 20.5;each article covers 4.88 pages;the average information density is 3.28.The subject distribution shows that the basic geology is 24.63%,uranium geology is 6.34%.54.63% articles are ones of foundation items.The coauthored articles account for 91.22% and the mean cooperation rate is 3.27.The first authors who are the teachers or students of the university account for 50.49%.The first authors of 236 articles come form Jiangxi Province,accounting for 57.76%.Statistics on educational background,professional title and age of the first authors show that authors who have PhD are 63;ones who have senior title are 132;age from 31 to 40 accounts for 41.95%.At the same time,the citation rate of articles during 2004 to 2007 is analyzed.The average reference number is 9.01,and total cited frequency and impact factor are rising gradually.
