Abstract
Objective To explore the application value of modified mild moxibustion therapy in the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis. Methods One hundred and fifty patients with rheumatoid arthritis were divided into the observation group(70 cases) and control group(80 cases) according to the different treatment methods. The observation group was treated with modified mild suspension acupuncture therapy, while the control group was treated with leflunomide. The clinical efficacy, clinical indicators and quality of life score were compared between the two groups. Results After treatment, the total effective rate of the observation group was 91.43%, significantly higher than the control group of 77.5%(P0.05).After treatment, the tender joint count, swollen joint count, platelet(PLT), erythrocyte sedimentation rate(ESR) and disease activity score 28(DAS28) of the observation group were significantly better than those of the control group(P0.05).After the treatment and the fourth month of follow-up, quality of life scores of the observation group were significantly higher than those of the control group [(70.5±15.2) vs(64.3±14.4);(81.6±15.5) vs(71.6±14.3), P0.05]. Conclusion The effect of modified mild moxibustion therapy is significant in the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis, and the operation is simple. It is a recommended choice for rheumatoid arthritis and is worthy of promotion in clinical application.
