Abstract

Objective To realize the distribution and antimicrobial resistance of Acinetobacter baumannii isolated from a hospital,so as to provide reference for antimicrobial treatment. Methods Antimicrobial resistance of 144 strains of Acinetobacter baumannii isolated from clinic from January 2003 to December 2005 in a hospital was surveyed ,and sample distribution was analysed. Results Among 144 strains of Acinetobacter baumannii,90((62.50%)) were from sputum, the constituent ratio of Acinetobacter baumannii was(1.70%),(2.10%) and(2.60%) in 2003,2004 and 2005 respectively, there was significant difference among three years(P(0.05)).Acinetobacter baumannii had the highest susceptibility to imipenem, resistant rate decreased from(15.62%) to(5.17%) every year;the next was meropenem, the resistant rate was(14.00%),Acinetobacter baumannii had the highest resistant rate to ampicillin, the resistant rate was(96.88%)~(100.00%);the resistant rate to aztreonam increased from(65.62%) in 2003 to(100.00%) in 2005.Conclusion Acinetobacter baumannii strains were mainly isolated from respiratory tract in this hospital, the isolation rate increased every year,Acinetobacter baumannii had the highest susceptibility rate to imipenem, the next was meropenem.Clinician should use antimicrobial agents prudently to avoid the transmission of multiply drug antimicrobial agents.
