Breeding of Shengzayou 10,a New Hybrid Rape Variety

Shengzayou 10,a new hybrid rape variety with high quality and yield,was bred from 43A,(a double low recessive genic male sterile line) F23R and approved by Hunan Crops Variety Examination Committee in May,2012.Its average yield and oil yield were 172.87 kg/ 667m2 and 70.19 kg/ 667m2,9.0% and 6.01% higher than CK(Zhongzayou 2 and Fengyou 520) in Hunan regional test during 2009-2011 respectively and the average yield in the production test was 178 kg/667m2,8.27% higher than CK(Fengyou 520).The total growth period of Shengzayou 10 was 217.1d,3d later than CK and the erucic,glucosinote and oil content of its F2 seeds was 0.05%,22.27 μmol/g·cake and 39.97% respectively.
