Abstract
Objective To observe the antioxidative effect of the different dosage of the water extract of Ficus carica in mice blood. Methods 50 mice(male and female are equal) are divided into 4 experimental groups and a distilled water control group, perfuse the water or the water extract of Ficus carica into stomach per day for 5 days and measure the activity of blood superoxide dismulases(SOD).Results The activity of the blood SOD of the extract of high concentration ficus carica is significantly higher than that the low con cen tration and the control groups.Sig:P0.05.Conclusion Within the recommended dosage of this this experiment design the extract of ficus carica can significantly increase the activity of the blood SOD.
