Abstract

Objective To observe the effect of Chinese Medicine in treatment of chronic cough.Methods 70 cases patients with chronic cough were randomly divided into treatment group and control group,each of 35 cases.Control group were given myrtol standard enteric-coated capsules(gelemyrtol).Treatment group were treated according to syndrome differentiation with traditional Chinese Medicine.Observed clinical efficacy,onset time and cough disappeared time of two groups.Results The total effective rate in treatment group(82.9%) was higher than that of control group(65.7%),the difference was statistically significant(P0.05).The onset time and symptoms disappeared time in treatment group were shorter than those in control group,the difference were statistically significant(P0.05).Conclusion Chinese Medicine in treatment of chronic cough is effective.
