Abstract

Objective To study the variation of platelets and hemostasis parameters in pregnancy induced hypertension(PIH).Methods Thirty patients with PIH in third-trimester and thirty normal pregnant women in third-trimester were included. At the same time, thirty normal women without pregnancy served as controls.Blood platelets(PLT),Platelet distribution width(PDW),mean platelet volume(MPV),platelet-large cell ratio(P-LCR),activated partial thromboplastin time(APTT),prothrombin time(PT),Fibrinogen(Fib),thrombin time(TT) were measured. Results (1) The MPV,PDW,P-LCR in PIH were significant higher than normal pregnant women and controls.(2) The hemostasis parameters in PIH and normal pregnant women have significant difference with controls(P0.05) except TT,but the difference was not significantly in PIH and normal pregnant women(P0.05).Conclusion The parameters of platelet were higher in PIH than normal pregnant women and controls,it means platelet play an important role in the pathogenesis and development of PIH.
