Abstract

Objective To explore the clinical significance of blood coagulation indices and platelet parameters in patients with pregnancy induced hypertension (PIH).Methods There were 50 normal non-pregnant women,50 normal pregnant women and 128 PIH patients including 40 mild cases,68 severe cases and 20 cases of eclampsia. The examination and analysis of indices of blood coagulation and platelet parameters were carried out in this study. Results The difference in indices of blood coagulation and platelet parameters between PIH patients and normal pregnant or normal non-pregnant women was significant (P0.05).The elevation of these indices demonstrated an increasing tendency with the severity of PIH.Conclusion Normal late pregnant women were in the stage of pre-thrombosis,but obvious thrombosis was observed in PIH patients. Therefore, antepartum screening including examination of indices of blood coagulation and platelet parameters had clinical significance in monitoring and treatment of patients with PIH.
