A Study of the Problems and Countermeasures of the Imbalance of Teacher Resource Allocation between Urban and Rural Compulsory Schools in China

A sample survey of the status quo of teachers of compulsory schools in several provinces shows that because of the urban-rural dual structure of our society,the uneven allocation of resources between urban and rural teachers is prominent.There is a big gap in teacher preparation,welfare and payment,quality and professional development between urban and rural compulsory schools.Therefore,it is urgent to optimize the policy for resource allocation,and strengthen the construction of teachers in rural areas so as to narrow down the gap between urban and rural teachers,and achieve a balanced resource allocation,thus promoting educational equity and balanced development of education.
