Abstract
Sevage method was applied to purify cruse Scutellaria barbata D.Don polysaccharide,of which the purity was determined by phenol sulfuric acid method.Acute toxicity test was conducted to observe toxicity of S.barbata polysaccharide on mice. And the mice S180 tumor inhibitory rate of cruse and purified polysaccharide with different dose was tested by in vivo tumor transplantation test. The purity of purified polysaccharide was 49.99%.Acute toxicity showed that S.barbata polysaccharide at the dose of 800 mg/kg or below had no toxicity on mice. The tumor inhibitory rate of purified S.barbata polysaccharide was lower than that of cruse polysaccharide.Tumor inhibitory rate of 100 mg/kg cruse S.barbata polysaccharide was 46.85%.
